The annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration is next Sunday, January 17, at 5:00 P.M. at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Dr. James Anderson is the keynote speaker.

The 9^th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Countywide Celebration is Friday, January 15, at the Hilton Garden Inn.  The Cities of Champaign and Urbana, Champaign County Board, and the University of Illinois are hosts. The theme is, Embracing Brotherhood: Rising Above Personal Confines.

Saturday, January 23, 2010. The Christian Money Coach, Ozeme Bonnette, will conduct a Christian Financial Workshop sponsored by Canaan Credit Union and Fellowship Baptist District Association.

Launching of the Canaan Women's Fellowship is January 30 from 4-6 P.M. at Canaan.  Evangelist Cynthia Turner is Director of this Ministry.

The Women's Discipleship Class will launch a new course of study that focuses on Hurts, Hang-Ups, and Habits.  The course commences January 17 at 8:30 A.M. in the Canaan Academy Gymnasium.

A New Members' Class will soon commence in January, 2010.  All new members are required to attend and will be notified.

The Health Ministry's First Place 4 Health Christ-centered weight-loss and healthy living program is each Saturday from 9-11 A.M.  Weigh-in begins at 8:45 A.M. Sis. JoAnn Archey is Director of this Ministry.  For additional information, please contact her at 398-8430.
